We went to the opera again last night and saw Verdi's Les vêpres siciliennes. It starred two paricularly good performers, Sondra Radvanovsky as the Herzogin Elena, Sister of Duke Friedrichs von Österreich and Leo Nucci as Guido Di Monforte the evil French governor of Scicily.
I love music with a body count! This was the most entertaining opera I have seen in a long time and very well executed as well with a very dramatic staging. Watch the highlights here.
